University of Ibadan Campus

Cocoa House — Dugbe

Oje Market
One of the largest markets in West Africa and the home of adire (tie-dye) fabric. Monday or Thursday, before 10am. The adire is significantly cheaper here than any Lagos fabric shop and it's authentic. Don't bring your phone out obviously.
Agodi Gardens and Zoo
Well-maintained botanical garden plus zoo — lions, crocodiles, monkeys. Entry ₦500–₦1,500. Beautiful grounds. Combine with a picnic for under ₦3,000 per person. One of the best-value days out in Nigeria right now.
Mapo Hall — Old Ibadan
Built 1929 on Mapo Hill. Panoramic view of old Ibadan. One of Nigeria's most historically significant buildings that almost no one visits. The atmosphere of old Ibadan from up here is quiet and unlike anything else in the city.

04What to Eat — And Where Not to Waste Your Money
Ibadan's food culture is built on Yoruba cooking at its most honest. Not the Instagram version. The real version.
The rule is simple: eat where the workers eat. Canteens near Dugbe and the Oje-Gbagi corridor serve the same people every day. Quality has to be good or the customers leave. That's your quality control — and it works better than any review platform.
